It's been a busy month here at Plusnet. You've probably noticed our new logo and website design already, but that's not all that we've got to tell you about. Read on to learn more about a new product, a new offer that gives you even bigger discounts when you recommend a friend and more.

You've probably noticed the new logo in this newsletter. The old one has worked hard for us over the years, but after 8 years of service we've given it a gold watch and put it into retirement. Our new logo is more modern and has a shape that's much easier to use in small places, such as on a mobile phone screen.
We've also made some big changes to the way you find your way around the website. We've added a sitemap to the bottom of every page, so it should be much easier to find the information you're looking for. We've changed the menu at the top of the page too, so that it focuses on the really important parts of our site.
Our residential product pages have been given a new lick of paint too because they were looking a bit messy. The new design looks a bit more interesting and is much clearer.
Over the next few months we'll be re-designing the rest of the site to use the new style. There are hundreds of pages, maybe even thousands, so it's going to take us a while. Bear with us because we're sure it'll be worth the wait.

2. We've doubled the usage allowance on Option 1
Broadband Your Way Option 1 now comes with 2GB for £9.99 a month. The extra usage allowance means Option 1 customers can now watch more video clips, download more music or simply surf the web for longer each month. Current Option 1 customers are already enjoying an increased usage allowance.
Tell your friends about Option 1 and if they sign up you'll get a discount on your subscription.

3. Our cheapest ever broadband and phone package is here
You can now get broadband for just £6.99 a month when you take it as part of our Essential bundle, giving you phone and broadband at our lowest ever price. We've listened to your feedback about introductory offers where the price changes after the first few months, so this is a fixed price that won't change.
Essential gives you a 1GB usage allowance, line rental and weekend calls to UK landlines. Lots of our customers use more than 1GB a month now, and many use the phone during the week, so this bundle isn't for everyone. But if you know anyone who is looking for their first ever broadband service, this might suit them perfectly. Get all the details about Essential.
4. Tell your friends about us and save money on your broadband
We've just launched a new offer that gives you even bigger savings when you tell your friends about us. If someone joins us on your recommendation between now and October 16th you'll get 4 times the usual discount for 6 months. So, for example, if you recommend a friend to Broadband Your Way Option 3 you'll get £2 a month off your broadband for 6 months.
If that's not enough motivation to spread the word, you'll also be entered in to a draw to win a weekend break worth up to £700.

5. One more award in the bag, with another one maybe to come
We've just been given the Best Small ISP award by Top 10 broadband. The category was open to all ISPs with less than a million customers, so we had some stiff competition from the likes of O2 and Be*. Top 10 broadband were particularly impressed with our "excellent customer services" and our mix of services. Learn more about the Top 10 broadband award.
We've also been shortlisted for the Best ISP award at the annual PC Pro Awards. The winners will be announced later in the year so we'll have our fingers crossed until then. Find out more about the PC Pro Awards.
I'm sure many of you have been watching the Olympics, especially with Team GB taking so many medals. We've noticed a big increase in streaming traffic as people watch the Games online. The opening ceremony was one of the most popular events, leading to a 500% increase in streaming traffic. Much of this traffic was coming from business customers so quite a few of you must have been watching the games from the office.

You might have noticed that Facebook loads a little bit quicker than before. We set up a peering arrangement with Facebook that helps us speed up your Facebook traffic.
