Connection
Keywords: broadband | hardware | setup | connecting | settings | realm | username
Summary: All the details you'll need to get connected with Plusnet broadband.
You may not need all of these details, particularly if you have a USB modem as many of these detect these settings automatically. Not all hardware manufacturers use the terms above so you may see PPP, PPPoATM or RFC2364 instead of PPPoA. You may also see VC Multiplexed referred to as VC-based or VCMUX. If your Plusnet broadband was activated before August 2002, you may need to connect using the username 'username@plus.net' rather than 'username@plusdsl.net'. Former Affinity Broadband customers may use 'username-pn@aihpipe.co.uk'. Please note: these are the only specific settings required to configure your hardware. You should leave all other settings at their default setting, unless you wish to set up your router in a non-standard way, for which we cannot offer any support. Related Links
